Impact Stories
🌟 Impact Story : A Leader Beyond the Title
While many co-founders manage from behind the desk, R C Vikram, the Managing Trustee of
Yuva Jan Sangam Trust, is known for being present on the ground—every step of the way.
One such day, during a health awareness camp in a densely populated slum in South West Delhi, the Trust’s volunteers were struggling
to convince local women to attend a session on menstrual hygiene. Many hesitated out of discomfort, stigma, or fear.
That’s when Vikram himself stepped in. He personally went door-to-door, engaging in simple, respectful conversations
with the women and families—helping them understand that this wasn’t just a health talk, but a step toward dignity and self-care.
Because of his direct involvement, the turnout tripled. Dozens of women not only attended the session but also began
openly discussing health concerns, some for the first time in their lives.
“For real change, you can’t just lead—you must walk with the people,” says Vikram.
“That’s what social work truly means.”
Whether it’s setting up learning centers for children, supervising vocational training for women, or organizing clean water drives,
R. C. Vikram is actively involved in every initiative. His dedication, humility, and on-the-ground presence
have made him not just a leader, but a source of inspiration to both volunteers and the community.
